In order to best be able to use this guide, please have the following applications installed and ready. You may use alternatives, but this guide does not cover it, and may behave differently utilizing them. (These apps are for Windows, similar applications exists for Mac and Linux)
qBitTorrent, as the name suggests, is a BitTorrent client, that is quite widely used these days. It has a easy to use design with a focus on simple usability. Users used to uTorrent should also feel right at home, as several elements are laid out in a similar manner.
Download qBitTorrent
7zip is a widely used archival application, allowing for really efficient archival of data. This is the application used to "seal" BetterRepack, and is thus the most fitting application to extract the game after you've downloaded it.
Download 7zip
WinRAR is another commonly used archival application on the windows platform, and is commonly used, despite being a commercial software. While files compressed with this application has a worse compression ratio, it's one of the most versitile archival softwares available, second only to 7zip. It may come accross as a whole lot more user friendly than 7zip.
Download WinRAR
HashTab is a simple hash checker, allowing you to verify the healt of a file you've downloaded in the properties for the file. As you may have noticed, the download page lists some strings of text and numbers marked MD5, CRC32 and SHA-1. If the file is exactly as it was when it was uploaded after you've downloaded it, the value you generate in this application should match exactly.

Before we start
If you do enjoy these games, make sure to buy a copy. These packs are meant to make it easier to get a clean slate tested starting point.
Modding games is a often time consuming business to get into, so this is meant to lower the barrier to entry, allowing more people to get into this game with as little frustration as possible.
This guide will not contain download links, as I want it to be available to share in places that doesn't allow such things, but they can easily be obtained with google or just some basic site navigation :)

Types of downloads
As you may notice as you're choosing which game and pack to download, there are some stuff coming at you, like R, RX, Modpack, Hotfix etc. This part will explain the differences between these types of packs.
These are the main packs available for the most part. These packs contain the main game, all recommended plugin mods for both the main game and studio or vr where applicable. These packs don't usually contain sideloader mods for studio, as those tend to be very large, and is instead cut off to a optional side download. ReleaseX basically is a reset pack, something big has happened on the modding side for a pack to be reset, like with Koikatsu, the RX rebranding was due to the transition from BepInEx4 to BepInEx5. This makes it easier to distinguish what type of experience you're in for when this happens, as new frameworks may have childhood problems, and you may want to remain at the older framework for a bit if you value stability over new functionality.
These are packs meant for application to a steam bought game. These packs only contain content not already in the Steam game, so if there's any DLC or similar for the Japanese version of the game that's not yet, or may never be, released for the steam version, this pack will gate the difference as best is possible. Sometimes DLC requires some base component of the game that's lacking, like is the case with Koikatsu Party, but more often than not, steam versions can be made to work with mods DLC.
This is mods that not everyone might want, that have been cut from the main pack due to size, most commonly mods meant for the studio module, that people only ever using the main game won't ever use. Feel free to skip this if you have no plan of using studio, you can always download this later if you feel like giving it a go.
Usually, when a new pack is released, there is also a "offline updater" available. This is a installer, usually far smaller than the full new pack, that contains the difference between the old and the new pack. This makes it way easier to download to update the pack from one version to another. This quickly leads to a case of deminishing returns though, so if you need to update past more than 2 packs, it's recommended to download the full pack instead.
Every so often, a mistake may be made during sealing of a pack, something may be overlooked, or a small but very important update is done after the pack is released or sealed. In these cases I may issue a hotfix to allow for fixing this quickly and simply by installing a smaller installer. If multiple hotfixes are released for the same pack, you only needs the latest hotfix.
If a Hotfix 2 is released, hotfix 1 is also in hotfix 2, so you no longer need to use hotfix 1.

Installation
This section will explain how to install the packs once downloaded.
○ Installation needs to be in a short folder preferably. The recommended folder structure is 'C:\Illusion\HoneySelect2', 'D:\Illusion\HoneySelect2' or similar! Installing to a longer folder may cause a whole suite of issues, including but not limited to: Problems starting the game, cards not showing, saving failing, random crashes.
○ Installation should NEVER be in a protected windows folder, such as 'Program Files', 'Program Files (x86)' or 'Windows'. Installing here may cause Windows to deny the game saving cards, scenes or savegames. This is due to antimalware protection in windows.
but VR options require you to have Steam installed on your computer.
For accessibility, the download offered via Google Drive or Mega are split into several 3.5GB archives, you will first need to extract these into a single archive. Open the *.001 archive in your archival application of choice. If you have yet to install a archival application, you can find links to 7zip and WinRAR in the Recommended Software section.
When you have a single .7z file, proceed to the next step.
Open the 7z archive with your archival software of choice, and select 'Extract to'/'Unpack to' or similar (Depends on the application), and select the folder to extract to. see the warnings about locations here.
Once you've extracted the game, simply launch the Initsetting.exe file, or the Initial Setting.exe if it's a steam version. (See instructions for steam bellow)
!Important!
